Install Ryujinx Canary on macOS

Use the universal app archive for Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.

Most users: macOS universal .app.tar.gz

Start with the recommended package unless your device or operating system clearly requires another asset.

Install steps

Follow these steps after you have picked the matching package.

  1. Download the macOS universal Canary archive.
  2. Extract the archive and move the app into Applications if you prefer.
  3. Open the app once from Finder.
  4. If Gatekeeper blocks the first launch, confirm the source before deciding whether to open it.
  5. Keep the archive until the app opens correctly.

  • Use the universal build for Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.
  • Avoid repackaged app bundles from mirror sites.
  • Use Stable if the newest Canary build introduces a macOS-specific issue.
