Install Ryujinx Canary on Windows

Use the Windows x64 zip for most Windows 10 and Windows 11 PCs.

Most users: Windows x64 .zip

Start with the recommended package unless your device or operating system clearly requires another asset.

Install steps

Follow these steps after you have picked the matching package.

  1. Download the Windows Canary x64 zip from the Download page.
  2. Extract the archive into a dedicated folder outside temporary downloads.
  3. Start the app from the extracted folder.
  4. If SmartScreen or a runtime prompt appears, confirm the source and only install the named dependency.
  5. Keep the archive until the new build opens correctly.

Before first launch

These checks prevent most wrong-file and first-open problems.

  • Use x64 unless your release asset and device clearly say otherwise.
  • Avoid bundled installers and third-party mirrors.
  • Use Stable if the newest Canary blocks startup.
